Noise à Noise 20.3-2 (Compilation Album Release)

Release of SpectroDuo‘s newest work “Stowaway” on Noise à Noise 20.3-2 compilation album by Noise à Noise Records.

Stowaway belongs to a new series of electro-acoustic works, inspired by the new country of residence for the group, Norway. Music uses filtered and transformed recordings made in Oslo (human laughter, speech, brass instruments sounds), mixed altogether with several chosen equal TET arrangements – 12, 17 and 19. Made during the dark time of international lockdown, Stowaway somehow resembles stagnation, limbo and out-of-this-world atmosphere.

Launch of “Polskie Muzyczki” video series

“Polskie Muzyczki” is a video series about Polish music and musicians in Polish language, made by clarinetist Barbara Borowicz and pianist Anna Miernik, to be presented every Saturday on Youtube platform. Martyna Kosecka made music to the video jingle of this production.

Launch of “Soundword” by Dariusz Mazurowski

“Soundword” is a podcast cycle by Dariusz Mazurowski about electro-acoustic music. In the first episode, dedicated to the ways of listening to the electro-acoustic music in a concert situation, many acclaimed Polish artists share their opinions on the subject. Martyna Kosecka had a pleasure to take part in this episode and talks about the live electro-acoustic concerts and work in SpectroDuo. All material is realized in Polish language.

Martyna Kosecka the recipient of artistic scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland

Martyna Kosecka has received the artistic scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland for development of her artistic project “Timbral microperspectives. Usage of original sound system organizations in musical composition.”
The project results in a shape of new artistic works, video documentation and research materials will be posted online during the upcoming months.

“Iran meets Sweden” by Stockholm Saxophone Quartet, Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm Saxophone Quartet will perform Āzar by Martyna Kosecka in their program “Iran meets Sweden”, developed in collaboration with Spectro Centre for New Music and Tehran Contemporary Music Festival. Stockholm Saxophone Quartet will also perform pieces by Aftab Darvishi, Arshia Samsaminia, Reza Mortazavi and Idin Samimi Mofakham.
