Pianist Fidan Aghayeva-Edler will present her solo program Im Nebel, featuring works by Vítězslava Kaprálová, Leoš Janáček, Maurice Ohana, Ruth Crawford Seeger, Jeanne Artemis Strieder, Betsy Jolas, and Martyna Kosecka’s “Nepheles”.

Martyna Kosecka’s music will sound during the theme concert The Home of My Ears: music to celebrate the art of Shirin Neshat by Ensemble Sounds Modern. The concert will also present music by Iranian composers as Behar Royaee, Anahita Abbasi, Nilaufar Nourbakhsh, Aida Shirazi, and Kimia Yazdi.
Two compositions – electroacoustic work “Ruba’i”, and “Halos” for alto saxophone and tape, will be presented.

Martyna Kosecka will take part as a speaker in the online webinar “A Historical Look at Gender Issues in Iran’s Western Classical Music Scene” hosted by The Emruz Festival, a collaboration between the Iranian Female Composers Association and Female Voice of Iran. The discussion will circle around the presence of women artists in the music scene of Iran.

The full premiere of Martyna Kosecka’s “Concerto for clarinet, multipercussion and string orchestra”, written in 2019 for the Tehran Contemporary Music Festival. Radosław Soroka on clarinet and Karol Krasiński on multipercussion are accompanied by Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra under the baton of Szymon Bywalec.
The concert will be live-streamed on Sinfonia Varsovia’s YouTube channel and Facebook. A pre-concert meeting with Martyna Kosecka, Szymon Bywalec, and Magdalena Stochniol (music theorist), is hosted by Agata Kwiecińska in the Polish language. The talk starts at 7:00 p.m.
